Welcome to the privacy policy for brickcourtmediators.co.uk. Its purpose is to let you know when we collect personal information and what we do with it. We’ll only use your personal information as set out in this policy.

We may need to update this policy from time to time. If we do, we’ll add a notice to the site explaining the changes, either in a post or as an update to the changelog at the bottom of the policy. The information we collect

You may disclose personal information to us when you subscribe to our mailing list, add comments to the site (if and when the commenting functionality is enabled), use the Contact form or get in touch with us directly by using the contact details available on the site. You don’t have to though. You can view the site and subscribe to its feed without having to disclose any personal information.

People who will be able to see it

The contributing mediators and their clerks at Brick Court Chambers are the main people that will be able to see the information you provide. Anyone who may assist us with the site over time may also be able to see it but they won’t be able to share it or use it for their own purposes.

If the personal information you provide forms part of material that you have submitted to be published, members of the public may also see it.

Who holds the information

This website is hosted by WP Engine and we use MailChimp to manage our mailing list so these services will also hold certain information on our behalf. They are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA) but comply with the US-EU Safe Harbor Framework. In supplying any personal information to us, you consent (1) to our transferring the information to these services (and therefore outside the EEA), (2) to our use of these services to store and process your information and (3) to the collecting, processing and storing of that information in accordance with the privacy policies of WP Engine and MailChimp respectively, to the extent relevant. How we’ll use the information

We’ll only use your personal information to communicate with you, publish comments and other material you ask to be published and for any other purpose that is made clear to you at the point of collection. In addition to news of site updates, we may send occasional emails to you in relation to other matters relevant to this site or its audience. You’ll be able to unsubscribe from our email list at any time.

How long the information will be held

We’ll hold the information for as long as we are providing this site or any related site or as we consider expedient to enable subsequent communication with you. When we no longer require it for such purposes, we’ll delete it. You can still unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time and we will delete your personal information if you’d like us to.

Other information and cookies

We collect anonymous statistical information about visits to the site using Google Analytics and WordPress.com Stats. The cookies that are generated for this purpose are described on our Cookies page.
